Birthday of Isis

We are here tonight for Lammas.
The first of three harvests on the Turning of the Wheel.
To Honor the Sun for making the Harvest possible.
And the Birth of Isis.

Items Needed for Alter
Oats, Corn Husks
Bread, Red Wine
Honey
Eucalyptus oil
Herbs for Lammas
Cinnamon
Sandalwood
Honeysuckle
Jasmine
2 cauldrons
Element Candles
Deitie Candles

Cast Circle

(Sam) HPS Stand's in front of the caldron and says:
"As we stand at this Witches pot
We will stop time on a dot
With Fire and Cauldron we will create a Sacred space
By clasped of hands and Witches Blade
This circle will be made"

Call Quarters

(Sam) South: Light candle and hold up and say:
"Bast, power of Fire, you who are fire and the rays of the sun, the dancing flames of the hearth fire, and the deep within the earths core…and who is also energy, will, and passion…please grace this circle with your presence".

(Julie) West: Light candle and hold up water and say:
"Tefnut, power of Water, you who are the mountains streams, the mighty Nile, and vast ocean…and who is feelings, emotions, and intuition…please grace us with your presence"

(Margaret) North: Light candle hold up salt and say:.
" Tanet, powers of Earth, you who are the towering mountains, the fertile plains, and the enduring bedrock, and all things material, and prosperity in all things... please grace our
circle with your presents"

(Camara) East: Light candle and Incense hold up and say:
" Sshket, power of Air, you who are the breeze, winds and who are also mind, intellect, and imagination...please grace our circle with your presents".

Invoking the God and the Goddess

Standing in front of the alter and light Goddess candle
HPS: Tonight we will celebrate with joy and love the birthday of a deity that was worshipped in an ancient land

HPS: I ask Isis, she who was Born of the sky mother and fathers by the Earth to be with us tonight.

Hand statue to representative
HPS: All love to thee, Isis, Lady of the Moon, Daughter of the Sky, Mother, Mistress of all Magick, our hearts rejoice at your presence on this day.

(Margaret) ISIS: I am mother's daughter the fullness of the moon am I, I am the brightness of ;earning, Magick is mine, and the power. I am all that is women, all it's strengths and all of its burdens. If you would honor me, honor my children. Serve them, and you serve me.
Replace statue on alter then light God candle

Light candle and say:
HPS: I ask Ra Lord of all, Ruler of the Sky, The Golden one, to be with us tonight
He who represents the Sun that can be sensed, the light, heat, the sun at Noon and Midsummer , that which makes the harvest possible.

Take up Chalice of Blackberry wine and say
HPS: The Mother of Gods, the womb from which have come forth, was the Goddess of the Sky, the Lady Nut. We can not Honor them without honoring her. Partake of the cup, taking within you the mother of the Gods, rejoice in the joy and the pain of birth.

Pass the Chalice around
HPS: Nor can we celebrate the birth without the honoring of the Father of the Gods, Geb lord of the Earth. Partake of the bread, honoring this great God rejoice in the strength and beauty of his seed. And the seeds of the Harvest which made this bread.

HPS: Though we honor the deities of ancient Egypt with this rite, we know that there are others of other lands equally worthy of honor. Let us now, in that spirit, call out the names of others lords and ladies, with love and praise, that way we may, as much as possible, honor all of them.

Take 3 pieces of Bread, one for yourself, one for the Fairies, and one for a sacrifice, to give back to the Fields.(fire)
As the Bread is being passed around, each person tells what they are Thankful for, and your Pantheon and Deities.

HPS: As in the Celtic tradition from which Lammas and Lughnasadh are named for. In these lands of long ago, the tradition of a blood sacrifice, poured on the fields, was made for thanks to the Gods for a bountiful harvest. At first it was a Virgin girl from the village and then later they slaughtered a cow. Also at this time some of the Harvest was thrown back into the fields as an offering of thanks.
Tonight we will follow that tradition with Red Wine, Oats and Corn.

HPS: Isis thank you for honoring us with your presence tonight, may your birthdays go for ever.
